173.TO-SCHOOL MORNING IN ANOTHER WORLD

In the modern world, there’s this habit that most people practice which is to pick up a phone and check for any messages. Well– that’s true for this world too.

When I brought up my system, I noticed a notification on my UI, and it was from Princess Siesta-sama. The message was from 4 pm yesterday.

We totally miss out on that huh?

She even tried to call us a few times. Too bad I had this habit of permanently turning off notifications. I need to change the settings later. I think it’s default for everyone else too.

“Eh.. there’s an emergency at the church? Why does she need to inform us?”

“Perhaps it’s a guise? Curiosity kills the cat, as one says.”

“No, let’s make sure not to go to church today. Let’s stay clear, our first agenda for today is to kill some.. what do you call those horned rabbits again?”

“I think it’s called a Hoppin.”

“Hoppin it is then.”

“Frost thorn, a dozen stalks of it and a Hoppin’s horn.”

After a short discussion with everyone awake and our usual morning preparation, asides Prune and Liliath who busied themselves cooking, Nine and I stepped out the door.

Cold. Dark.

It was currently 5 in the morning.

That was the only thing I could say. The dull plaster wall of this room looked like frost crystals had entangled it’s thorns upon it.

Are the mother and daughter alright? I just realized how there’s no heater or anything here, so how does one keep warm?

“Cold.. are you not cold Noel?”

“I’m a demon lord, so I’m alright.”

“You cheat,” he frowned.

On top of the black coat Nine was wearing, he also wore the brown temperature retention mantle. No gloves on his hands, so he rubbed them together for a while and blew a warm frosty breath on it.

We exited the dummy room, the lights in the corridor were on. Downstairs, you could hear someone doing something, my spatial sense was telling me the said person was Miss Margrett.

“Morning Miss Margrett-san.”

“Morning Miss Margrett.”

Am I using honorifics wrong?

“Oh my, you two sure are early.”

She seemed to be tossing wood chunks into the blazing kiln. You could practically feel the heat from here.

“How was sleep?”

“It was alright. You miss? Is it not cold?”

“Still within tolerable limits. I kept a warm bucket in the room you see.”

That actually makes scientific sense but it isn’t really practical in RL, I think. A bucket alone won’t really help increase the temperature of the room, can it now?

Heaving the same metal bucket of water– probably– on top of the klin, she let it soak under the heat. It was different from the wood bucket we used yesterday, and different from the basin-like clay bucket for washing hands. Buckets of various sizes and shapes are commonplace here I guess.

I actually find it surprising that Miss Margrett wakes up so early.

“When does your daughter’s class start?” I asked, moving to sit on the table. Nine followed suit, looking around the place with curious eyes, especially the frosty window.

“Around the time the sundial reaches 7.”

“Oh, it’s just like ours then..” Nine said.

Since Miss Margrett was curious, we went on to explain how we were also supposed to go to school before 7. About the sundial, it’s something we overlooked because there was one close to the statue of Goddess of Love, Aphrodite, where the fountain was.

Liliath then came down, tittering with a warm smile and greeting.

“Miss, breakfast has been prepared, do you mind if we share a breakfast together?”

“Oh, that would trouble you wouldn’t it?”

“It would be more troubling if Miss rejected the invitation instead,” said with a troubled smile– that I could only think of as sly.

I don’t know if I can keep up with this sort of fanciful speeches in the future. I might have to practice.

“Good morning everyone~” Jennifer-chan greeted in a slurred voice.

“Good morning Jenn-chan, how early you are today.”

“I’m excited. I smell something nice.”
“Sorry to trouble you, I will take up your offer for breakfast in that case,” Miss Margrett said with a light bow. Picking up the metal bucket, she beckoned Jennifer using some sort of mysterious sign language to retreat to their room.

“Are they doing what I think they’re doing?” Nine saw their backs disappear upstairs.

“And what exactly are you thinking of?”

“You know, the fantasy way of cleaning yourself, wiping down your body with a heated cloth.”

“That is typically the way how commoner’s do it. Some upper nobles, however, should have a similar bathing method of washing themselves in place,” when Liliath finished her sentence, Prune’s sneeze resounded upstairs.

Yikes.

For breakfast– it was decided that we would bring the food to the main kitchen, not the one in the apartment. Main reason being the space. The table in the main kitchen was larger and had just enough seats to hold all of us.

“Wow!”

“WOW!?”

Two short figures screamed in awe at the same time.

One of them screamed because of the food prepared on the wooden table.

Yesterday, while walking around the marketplace, Prune bought some meat, appraised to be Tuffkan meat, goblin meat and a block of squid. A block of squid you say? Yeah, the appraisal said that it was from a small portion of the fleshy part of a baby Kraken. Let’s not mind the details shall we.. for a block that size, it cost less than a silver so why not?

As for the vegetables.. surprisingly. There were a number of them we recognized. Like beets, carrots, koreander, watercress– and a few others. Fermented cabbage in salt or chilli paste were also found. Like, wow.

Even condiments like soy sauce, brown sugar and mayonnaise could be found.

So the dishes Prune whipped up was chopped up squid cubes sauteed in Imagi-made soy sauce, a side of mixed vegetables, a bowl of soup made from watercress and natural sea salt for flavor. Of course, we had a meat dish sauteed in sweet soy sauce.

And with that, the daily quest for cooking using 100 percent Imagi ingredients was completed.

As for the other wow, Nine was looking towards Jennifer-chan wearing a sailor uniform. It feels less like cosplay than it does an actual school uniform. The sailor uniform was the navy-blue-white kind with a red scarf, it reminded me of my sister, Novelle. Hah.. I feel homesick. Did Liliath feel this way when she first arrived in my world? I wonder if she was honest about her feelings back then.

“Amazing.. ”

Jennifer-chan who noticed Nine’s ogling staggered backwards in retreat to her mother who was standing behind her. Miss Margrett only smiled wryly. Just a heads up, it would be an error on my part but Jennifer was blushing. Is this a flag? Like who the hell knows right?

“Nine.”

“C’mon, this is a fantasy world you know?! Sailor uniform in a fantasy world, it must be some past heroes doing.. oh wait, you’re the creator of this world so it’s your doing. Don’t you have a sailor uniform festish?!”

“Nine, I suggest you be more prudent with your words,” Liliath spoke in a soft but sharp tone.

Mid way through Nine’s machine gunning, something very odd for male Nine to do, a sound barrier formed around us. Liliath’s doing.

“My bad, but seriously though, what’s with the sailor uniforms, it amazingly doesn’t fit this scenario.”

“But didn’t you wear those during primary school?” I’m referring to the modern world, back before we came here.

“Yeah sure, but this is different! It’s a fantasy world!”

Prune didn’t know how to respond but went over to explain the situation to the confused Miss Margrett and Jennifer. I heard something like a boy's fetish.

“””Thank you for the meal.”””

The breakfast mood was in, Jennifer-chan admired the white plate and metal utensils as much as the food itself. On the other hand, Nine admired the sailor uniform. Really now, who’s the creep here?

We explained our plans for today to Miss Margrett, the four of us would attempt to go rank up to F by today at least, so we would be back by evening at latest.

That was also when we realized some cultural differences.

“Excuse me, Jennifer– chan, can you use the spoon on the plate instead of your own?” Prune said as Jennifer-chan was about to take the kraken cubes with her own spoon.

“Ara, now I understand why additional spoons were used. My apologies,” Miss Margrett said.

“Sorry,” Jennifer-chan also said in response.

“No, sorry for not saying it earlier.”

“Out of curiosity, is there any particular reason as to why this practice is performed in your world?” Miss Margrett asked.

“To prevent disease, it’s unhygienic,” Prune explained.

“Is that so?”

“Unlike this world, disease is an issue that shouldn’t be taken lightly in their world,” Liliath said.

“Is that so?” Miss Margrett flashed a weird expression.

I looked at Liliath, her eyes met mine. She’s hinting about her identity huh? I wonder why.

Jennifer-chan kept switching her gaze between the food and her mother’s face, it was only until Miss Margrett gave the consent that Jennifer started to take her share of food using the shared spoon on the dishes. Of course, we were eating rice.

Just as Jennifer-chan was about to take a bite, she stopped, lowered the spoon and looked to the flat concrete floor.

“Mommy.”

Like monkeys, everyone followed her line of sight–

And there it was. Like a dog.. sitting there..

The ultimate disgusting creature, detested by all households, except– this was twenty times larger than the usual.. or even more? And it had a blue sheen to its body. You could almost call it beautiful. The leg hairs that wiggled about and antennas that shook. It’s black beady eyes stared into my soul.

I couldn’t believe my eyes. It exists in this world.

Not to mention..

BAAM.

Steam rose from Miss Margrett’s index finger, her hands shaped into a gun.

“My apologies,” She said, ”Please continue, I’ll clean it up.”

She promptly stood up from the seat. Taking a towel from behind her, she proceeded to the creature in question. A hole blown into it, green-yellow liquid spilling from it’s head. A clear wind barrier was erected between the table and us, the caster was Miss Margrett, not Liliath.

“Noel,” Nine called out after a short silence. At the time, Miss Margrett had already dragged the creature out through the backdoor.

“You sit here, I’ll clean the stain,” Jennifer-chan said, got down from her seat and used some water and life magic to blow the stain outside.

“Wow, this feels amazing,” Jennifer-chan was surprised by the sudden improvement of her magic due to the magic related skills that had been upgraded to S grade… probably

As elated as she was.. Prune was shivering to the point where even convulsing wouldn’t be a wrong term to describe her movement. Likewise, I had goosebumps all over my body.

That was..

“How rare, a small blue roach,” Liliath said nonchalantly, a hint of surprise laced in her voice.

Wait– did Liliath just say ‘small’?

===

After breakfast, Margrett went to the backyard, her routine to check on the flowers before moving to the front of the store. There she unlocked the lock and pulled the metal grill open with a creak. Huh!? They have metal grills here as a safety measure against robbery?!

“Is there anything wrong?” Miss Margrett called out, noticing how I was staring at the entrance like some bumpkin.

“No.. I’m just surprised how different this world is from my imagination.. ”

“It seems our position has come to a reverse,” Liliath chuckled beside me.

It’s no longer me teaching Liliath how to live in a modern world, but Liliath teaching me– us how to live in a medieval world where sword and magic are the norm.

“Yup, it’s totally reversed.”

“It is my duty to teach you the ways of this world then.”

“Could it be that you were from this world, Liliath-sama?” Miss Margrett asked.

“I was.”

“I see..”

Miss Margrett didn’t ask any further.

174.

“See you!”

“”See you later””

“Bye bye.”

For some reason, Nine’s way of saying goodbye was more childish than Jennifer-chan’s. Not cute–

Anyways, Miss Margrett was accompanying Jennifer to school, or as this world calls it, the education guild. Prune tagged along with them since she said she wanted to see where the guild was. The area she’s charted also gets noted on the system map so that’s another plus.

I got Prune some warmer clothing per Liliath’s recommendation so she switched to those clothes before going out, she sneezed one more time on the way before finally disappearing from sight. Luckily I got her a handkerchief too.

The education guild. To be honest, it was something I did not expect to exist.

From Miss Margrett’s explanation, there are many education guilds around the kingdom, the one Jennifer-chan is studying at is called ‘The Twelve Stars’. An education guild focuses on teaching the students to read, write and count. Learning how to use magic is an obligatory part of the curriculum, unlike sword arts which is optional. I found that weird, but also a little worrying.

Magic is an obligation because basically everyone can use magic. In the past, before this so-called chantless magic postulate was developed, dubbed Kagura’s Chantless method, people used the chant system.

Further added upon by Liliath– let’s have a short history class shall we?– The chant method wasn’t all that good. Because the chant system made it so that only 5 percent of people could use magic, and only a handful of them were able to master it. Mages were considered powerful beings, and were a status of power.

In the 13th cycle, a heroine by the name Professor Kagura-sama, after killing the demon lord, sought to bring magic to everyone. Her argument was that she was a cheat, and the only reason why heroes were able to use magic was because of the gods.

She wanted to figure out the roots of magic. She ended up developing an entire system for magic casting.

Turns out, the main reason why chanting works is because it puts people in a certain ‘mental state’. It is this mental state that formulates the magic. Her theory was that as the hero, the blessing from God would convert her imagination into ‘mental states’ suited to cast the desirable magic.

With this as the groundwork, she made copious notes of every sensation and developed a magic system, which is known today as Kagura’s Chantless Method. What the hell.. they brought a researcher into this world?

The Kagura’s Chantless Method was.. to put it in my words, like an entirely different language. Like in coding– where coding language like Python, HTML and Java are used to makes sense of the string of zeros and ones, or in music– where music scores are used to make sense of pitch and rhythm; Kagura’s Chantless Method makes sense of ‘feelings’ and ‘state’.

The visual representation of Python or Java in coding or the musical staff notation system of bean sprouts in music; Kagura’s Chatless method is represented using a Pentagram chart. Using shapes such as a square, triangle and circle– to name 3– each representing a certain ‘state’. Moreover, depending on where the shapes are placed, the ‘feelings’ are to change.

Like fuck. How in the hell would I know how a lonely square in the center of the Pentagram chart feels like?!!

Which ties in all back to why every child is obliged to learn magic, if possible. The earlier they start, the easier it is for them in the future.

To put it in another way, my current self is no different from an infant who doesn’t know a single language. Having to string together a mess of words to even make sense of what ‘go die!’ means.

Worse.. when I checked the magic guide book– that exact Pentagram system was there on the latter part of the introductory chapter in the beginners section. It wasn’t only limited to squares, triangles and circles– there were also other shapes like stars and ovals. Not only that, sometimes, there are multiple different shapes on the field. More so– when I accidentally landed on the intermediate chapter, there was this ‘inverse magic’ concept where each shape could be further divided into other variations. A single square can be divided into border-only, a square with another smaller square inside of it, or a colour-filled square– EACH ONE REPRESENTING A DIFFERENT THING??!!!

WHAT THE FUCK!? HOW THE HELL ARE WE SUPPOSED TO LEARN MAGIC?!

Now then, leaving that hell aside, if you look outside, the sky opened up to a beautiful vibrant orange and purple. The cobblestone ground was covered in light snow. Other stores lining the streets were also getting ready for business. An old lady from the neighbouring side waved at us. From the sign, her place looks like a small-scale wood craft store.

The guy selling stew yesterday had just arrived with his cart. He locked the wheels of the cart and started to set up his stall.

And the description of a perfect morning can’t be finished without wildlife right?

Octopus.

No. Flying octopuses.

And behind the mother octopus followed 5 smaller octopuses. Like little ducklings following mother duck.

In rhythmic sync, they propelled themselves forwards with their tentacles. It drifted through the street as if nobody’s business before disappearing into an alleyway filled with crates.

“”...””

“It’s been a while since I’ve seen those,” so said Liliath.

Give me sometime to let this information sink into my mind. This isn’t reality, yup, this is fantasy, yup. I don’t even know why it’s so hard to believe the reality in front of me.

While waiting for Prune and Miss Margrett to return, we realized that we had just received a new mail. Looks like Unknown finished creating the widgets I’ve requested. The Unique Skill sharing widget? He said we were dumb.

Nine and I had to ponder about why he said for a few beats before it hit us.. Nine could copy n’ paste his Unique Skill to the rest of us.

When we tested it out.. heck. I can edit my own stats now. Absolutely crazy. Doesn’t that mean if we paste Prune’s [Home Sweet Home] Unique Skill into our column, we’d get to use our own apartment domain? We’ll have to experiment with that when Prune returns.

Asides that, the Autoconcelament widget, Statusconcealment widget, revival widget, teleportation widget, camera widget, MapSelectionFilter widget and Shareview widget got approved. A side note for Statusconcelament widget– Nine’s [Status Concealment (EX)] has become useless now.

Autoconcealment widget was pretty similar to Statusconcealment widget so we opted to just use the latter. It basically gives you this side screen that you can freely edit your fake stats. It’s as good if not more secure than [Status Concealment (EX)], to the point where even the God and Goddess wouldn’t recognize us. Nice–

Teleportation widget allows us to teleport anywhere but the charge for each person was 100 points, the distance doesn’t matter. Looks convenient. MapSelectionFilter widget is really an extension to my map. I can search up a specific thing or type of person and tag it. Of course, it’s limited to where we’ve been to. Something like.. tag all all with levels above 50– wow, there are quite a number of them.

As for revival widget.. let’s just say each revive would cost 10000 points. I wanted to say stingy but considering how it actually brings a person from the dead.. it was rather cheap. It was the price of 5 kilograms of orichalum if I’m not wrong.

Camera widget.. nothing too special about it but Nine kept it on [REC]. The info page stated that it had unlimited storage, and from what Nine said, also included a professional video editing tool. Looks like it got his streamer blood boiling, I think he’ll treat Unknown like a God now.

The Shareview widget actually works as it stated. I could see from my display what Liliath was seeing if she allowed it. So when [God’s Eye] was used, we could actually see what she was seeing. Prune was squeezing quite bad.. I kinda pity her.

The view then shifted to Princess Siesta-sama, who was at some plaza. She was in an elegant but easy-to-move-in light white dress. Like a delicate lily, her confident gait as she proceeded to the carriage with a very suave looking knight. Though.. I was thinking she should be wearing those female priest clothes shouldn’t she? She has the saint title right?

Then the screen blacked out. A single block of word spelled: [ERROR].

“It seems to be impossible after all..”

“Who are you trying to look at?” I wanted to say ‘stalk’ but seeing her sad smile, I refrained.

“I thought perhaps it could work with those in your world. I tried thinking about Wendy and Saria.”

“Ah.. too bad. Hey, how about Bleu?” Nine asked.

Liliath did the job and on the screen displayed a Bleu sleeping on the bed.

‘You can stalk her all you want, just don’t do that to me please. I’ll keep this a secret from her,’ such a sound echoed. Huh? Was that Unknown?

With all due respect, we didn’t try him.

Our fill of fun had to be interrupted by a passing knight. He asked us about our origin since.. he had never seen us before. Explaining how we were new tenants for Miss Margrett’s florist shop-house, the knight nodded as if understanding, but told us to keep within his sights until Miss Margrett returned.

Looks like he was just concerned for security. His stats were pretty high.. but lower than Miss Margrett’s overall stats. His cliche [Strength Reinforcement (B)] and [Mana Imbuement] skill looked convenient, so Nine Ctrl C‘ed and Ctrl V’ed it into a shared note document. We can access this skill whenever we need it in the future.

Funny thing is that.. some stats don’t have a grade to them. So it’s unknown what would happen if we added ‘(S)’ to [Mana Imbuement]

Damn. There’s a lot of potential in our Unique Skills. We’re barely scratching the surface of what we could do with these.

175.

“Should we head over to the guild first or do we just go get the Hoppin horns?” Prune asked.

“Where exactly can we find the Hoppin creature– good question,” I muttered.

“Darn, It’s so much harder than in a novel where they just go out of the kingdom and find something to fight,” Nine mulled.

“Proceed to the guild?” Liliath asked.

“That’s our best choice isn’t it.”

“We’ll go ask Avice-onee-sama about where to find the Hoppin, then we’re off,” Nine said something a little meek there.

“Is there anything else we should prepare? I feel like we’re forgetting something.. ACHOO!” Prune said and sneezed into the plain handkerchief she was holding.

“Is there anything we’re missing.. I wonder what.”

The four of us, passing the path when we saw the demi-human slaves being taken away yesterday– it left a rather deep impression on us– proceeded over a few low bridges before reaching the guild.

The time was around 6:45am, and there were already adventurers all around the place. It wasn’t as bad as yesterday’s rush hour but it was still a sight to behold.

Entering, we saw a lot of the so called ‘parties’, adventurers in groups picking out quests on the quest board. Asides that, there were adventurers calling out for members. Suspicious people wearing hoods are around the place, just like yesterday, fortunately we had the Statsconcelament widget now so there was nothing to worry about.

If there was something we should be worried about, it would be that feeling of incongruity just before we entered the guild.

We were weaponless. I just realized.

“Nine, Prune, Liliath wait a second.”

“What?”

I pulled them over to a corner of a table.

“That’s what we’re missing, weapons.”

“Oh yeah..”
“What should we do then? Weapons from the shop again?” Prune asked, slightly reluctant.

“Why not just say we’re going to use magic.. but they will question where our magic staff or wand is,” Nine muttered to himself.

“How about we assume ourselves as innocent adventurers? After all, what is important is the completion of today’s agenda. There are many means we can use to kill a Hoppin after all,” Liliath said.

“True, true. But what would the people think? Not to mention, the guild staff already warned us to bring weapons last time?”

Should we just each get a shortsword? I was wondering as I browsed through the weapon category of the shop. Prune was also doing the same. The price is around 100 for something like a short knife, and the most decent one I’ve seen so far is a long sword made from magic-lapiz alloy at the price of 400 points, and that is the price after the 75 percent discount ye?

Another thing. Even if we have the sword and weapon, we don’t have a sheath to hold it– that would cost another 200 points.

“Nine, maybe you act like the leader guiding us. I’ll just get one sword and one sheath, after that we’ll ask for information at the counter.. or does anyone want a weapon too?”

Prune raised her head to look at me before shaking left and right.

“I’m not fond of weapons to begin with,” said Liliath.

“You sure about that Noel?”

“I don’t think I’ll be using a weapon anytime soon. Plus, you look more like a properly dressed adventurer so it should make a better impression.”

“Got it.”

“Liliath.”

“Understood.”

Liliath pulled up a barrier, I quickly passed the newly bought sword and sheath to Nine. I don’t know how, but Nine’s clothes had just the notches to hook the sword sheath in place, that is at his waist.

The lapiz alloy sword looked silver but refracted a light blue-purple sheen at an angle. The thought of Ultraviolet light crossed my mind.

“Okay?”

“I think we’re good.”

We proceeded to the counter, finally, after much deliberation and stupid preaparations. In the end, we didn’t even end up meeting the same receptionist there. Anyways, the cat-kin staff explained how outside the west gate, there was a large forest there. Hoppins could be found in the shallow parts of the terrain, so don’t go too deep

After that she recommended we hire instructors.

By that.. she meant those people wearing hoods. To reduce the number of casualties, this instructor system was implemented. The cost to hire them depended on the rank of the quest, taking into account other factors such as the rewards. For us G-rank, it would be around 1 large copper per sundial column, by that, she meant per hour. You could say they’re not aiming for money, but really volunteering to guide those younger ones. Their levels were all above 100, which was fairly high. Normally people you shouldn’t be able to hire them with a few coppers.

At the same time.. a lot of useful skills were stolen by us. One of them had [Magick Sword (A)], which looked like a rather interesting skill.

In the end, we left thanking the cat-kin, which I never did memorize the name, and headed out the guild for the west gate. The west gate being the closest exit point from the guild.

Though..

“Someone is tailing us,” Liliath said with a furrowed brow.

“Seriously.. nothing happened in the guild, so why now?”

“I think it’s one of the instructors,” I said. You can use the appraisal thing on the system map. The person in question had been highlighted by Liliath in purple. Why purple? No idea. It’s the level 120 guy I saw closer to the counter, he probably overheard our conversation.

The more interesting skills he had were [False swipe (B)] and [Magick Sword (A)].

“Should we throw him off?”

“I suggest so,” Liliath said.

“Please do so then. If our abilities get found out, it would cause a lot of problems wouldn’t it?” Prune said.

“Leave it to me,” Liliath said, a multi-film barrier appeared behind us. Prune and Nine couldn’t see the mana construct since they’re human.

We passed through the growing crowd, the barrier increased in thickness, until we made our way to the gate. Showed the guards our crappy guild card and with a sympathetic look from them, were allowed outside. They warned us to be careful.

As for the guy tailing us, he was going in circles. Sorry dude.

Now then, let me describe what I’m seeing.

For a moment you may think that a verdant green land filled with em’ bloody slimes, a dirt path with a queue of carriages and grass would spread out in front of you, but no.

Refugees. Tents. Campfires. The stench of alcohol.

The gate was surrounded by these make-shift cloth tents. There were elderly wearing thick clothes, sitting there holding a cheerful conversation with a group of adventurers.

Even in such a dull situation, happiness seems to still exist. There were also kids that were frolicking about with a cat-like creature. Their clothes were tattered. It's a wonder how they’re able to keep themselves warm.. maybe the thin mana film around them has something to do with it? Jennifer-chan had it too.

I could talk about the worse aspects– like how the merchants were ripping off people with weird goods or promoting slavery, having the children become slaves to be sold to the nobles...

On the flip side, there was a welfare camp on the site too, with generous people helping to distribute food and other necessities. They looked like people from the church, based on the clothes they wore.

Prune lowered her head. I had the urge to do so but thought not to and walked on.

What kind of world is this? Was this really a world my TALENT made? A world I made?

Such thoughts crippled my mind.

We finally got out of the refugee area and arrived at the vast field of snow. Beyond that was a forest. It was the shallow kind and it’s also the time we realized how we didn’t prepare proper shoes now didn’t we? Prune was wearing the same sports shoes she wore since she arrived in this world, while Nine had proper black boots. Liliath and I wore slippers.

Yeah. We’re treading snow in slippers.

And though it does feel cold, it was bearable. Like.. what the hell. I should get a thermometer widget to check the temperature in the future.

“I’ve set the map to find Hoppins, let’s walk around the forest,” Nine said, unsheathing the lapiz-alloy sword and giving it a few bad swings.

There were other adventurers around the place, and that sorta gave me an idea. I made a note to ask for a CommandCenter widget from Santa Claus Unknown. I wanted to be able to manage my widget permissions on a wider scale.

Here’s the thing, this world is so big, I doubt we alone would be able to complete the map– but what if we didn’t? What if I let the other’s do it? Imagine for a second if I fitted a Tracker widget on all adventurers in Erudite kingdom, the places they’ve ventured to will also pop up on the map.

To put it in another way, Princess Siesta-sama was doing a good job filling us in with the church and castle layout, which included all the secret passages and stuff.

“What’s up with you..” Nine asked suspiciously.

“I thought of something amazing.”

I kinda wonder, should I put a tracker widget on all 21 heroes? It’s possible with [God’s Eye] you know?

Nah.. if they can check their statuses then I’d be found out. Let’s not raise a flag.
